In July 2025, we traveled back to the heart of Transylvania to the village of Érkőrös where we teamed up with our longtime partner in-country, KCA, to expand an existing building, transforming it into a vibrant hub for after-school tutoring, community events, and essential facilities like plumbing and toilets—amenities the village lacked until now. KCA laid the foundation and started the plumbing before we arrived so we could help them bring this vision to life: a space where kids can study, dream, and grow, where families can gather, and where the community can thrive. This isn’t just a building; it’s a beacon of hope, and we’re grateful to have had the chance to see it take shape with the help of our generous supporters.

To make this dream a reality, we raised funds to cover the costs of concrete blocks for the walls and new bathrooms and concrete reinforcement for the roof and provided labor on site alongside KCA’s technical experts, local volunteers, the village church, and our enthusiastic crew of six who traveled from the U.S. Stay tuned for more pictures as the project completes this fall.
